Going by Mohenjo Daro’s box office collection on its second Friday, the Hrithik Roshan film is already out of reckoning. The only silver lining
for the Ashutosh Gowariker directorial is that it has fared well in the international market despite its poor showing at the domestic box office.
On its second Friday, the Hrithik and Pooja Hedge-starrer earned about Rs 1.5 crore at the BO. The film had earlier made Rs 51.18 crore in the
first week. However, the period drama shone at the international BO. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#MohenjoDaro has fared better
internationally… Week 1 expected to close at $ 3.6 million [₹ 24.13 cr]… Best in UAE-GCC and Pakistan.”
At the same time, its domestic numbers remained less than expected, “#MohenjoDaro Fri 8.87 cr, Sat 9.60 cr, Sun 12.08 cr, Mon 10.27 cr, Tue
3.16 cr, Wed 2.96 cr, Thu 4.24 cr. Total: ₹ 51.18 cr. India biz,” said Taran Adarsh in another tweet.

In its opening week, Mohenjo Daro grossed Rs 95.31 crore with Indian market accounting for Rs 51.18 crore and overseas Rs 24.13 crores.
In Gulf, it collected $ 1.2 million, making it the third highest week one for Hrithik Roshan ever in the region. In North America the estimated
collections are above $1 million while in the UK it made $ 416000. The first week collection in Pakistan is estimated around $325000 making it
the second highest week one for Hrithik Roshan in the country.
Made at a budget of Rs 100 crore with Rs 15 crore spent on promotions, Mohenjo Daro earned Rs 60 crore with pre-release sale of rights.
