South Simcoe police say a 23-year-old man has been arrested after shots were fired at a home in Belle Ewart  filled with people. Police say their investigation determined a suspect had fired a shotgun at the home early Saturday in response to an earlier dispute.

They say a number of people were inside the home at the time and that pellets from the shotgun lodged in the siding of the home, near two of the windows. Police say the suspect was arrested Tuesday on charges including careless use of a firearm and is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
