One man was rushed to hospital on Friday following a single-vehicle crash on Deerfoot Trail. Emergency crews were called to northbound Deerfoot Trail just south of Seton Boulevard S.E. at around 8 a.m. after a car left the road, hitting a cement barrier in the median.
When they arrived, EMS found the driver had been pulled from the wreckage; witnesses were attempting to perform CPR on him.
EMS transported the victim, believed to be in his 20s or 30s, to the South Health Campus in life-threatening condition.
The collision caused the closure of several lanes of Deerfoot Trail.
