A 56-year-old man faces charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault in connection with a stabbing in the Broadview Avenue and Danforth Avenue area overnight Saturday. Toronto police say they were called to the area around 2 a.m. about reports of a stabbing.
That’s where they located a man in his 50s with a stab wound suffering serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Const. Allyson-Douglas Cook said police located and arrested a suspect shortly afterwards.
Broadview Avenue had been closed between Pretoria and Erindale avenues for the investigation but has since reopened. Police did not release the suspect’s name and didn’t have an update on victim’s condition.
