A man was found dead on top of train tracks in Leduc Sunday evening, RCMP said. Mounties responded to a report of a passerby that found human remains on the railroad tracks near Highway 2A and 50 Street. When officers arrived, they found a dead adult male who appeared to have been hit by a train. RCMP believe that the collision occurred after 10 p.m. Sunday.

The identity of the man is not known.

The investigation is ongoing, with Leduc Fire Services and CP Police Service assisting RCMP.
