Police are trying to track down the person who was behind the wheel of a vehicle involved in a crash last week that left one man dead. Emergency crews were called to Bannerman Avenue at Main Street on Aug. 2 at about 8:30 p.m. after reports of an injured man seen in the area.

A 43-year-old man was taken to hospital in unstable condition and has since died of his injuries.

Investigators now believe he may have been hit by a vehicle, possibly a newer-model grey four-door SUV.

Const. Rob Carver said the circumstances surrounding the crash are unclear at this point and investigators are still trying to determine what led to the collision.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call police at 204-986-6271.
