A father of three has been charged with stabbing his ex-wife's new partner to death at a Brisbane home. It's alleged the 39-year-old man broke into the house at Alexandra Hills on Tuesday night and stabbed Daryl Corcoran to death before turning a carving-style knife on himself.The alarm was raised when neighbours spotted the man's three children wandering the street covered in blood. They were unharmed, as was their mother, although all are understood to have witnessed the attack. The 39-year-old was formally charged with murder on Thursday during a bedside hearing in the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he is recovering from self-inflicted wounds. He was also charged with entering a dwelling with intent and contravention of a domestic violence order. He will remain in hospital under police guard as he recovers from his wounds. Mr Corcoran's family say he was a caring man who would be sorely missed, particularly by his own children. "He's left two beautiful kids behind. He was caring in everything he did; he'll be sadly missed and much loved by the family. The man charged with his murder is due to face court on February 6.
