A 22-year-old Toronto man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting on the Danforth in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Police say they were called to Danforth and Logan avenues just before 2:30 a.m. where they found a 39-year-old man suffering from a serious gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital in serious condition.
The weapon, however, has not yet been found.
The 22-year-old suspect was arrested later Sunday and faces seven weapons-related charges and one count of attempted murder.
He remains in custody and will appear at the College Park courthouse Monday morning.
Police are asking those in the area of Danforth and Logan avenues to watch out for the firearm used in the shooting.
If someone finds a gun, police ask the public to call them and not to touch the weapon.
