A Lincoln Man faces charges after being arrested for sexual assault Tuesday. The arrest occurred after detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Child Abuse Unit began an investigation into an incident in Beamsville that took place between July 1, 2016, and July 31, 2016.
Michael Cherwaty, 52, of Lincoln was arrested and is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, exposing his genitals to a minor and invitation to sexual touching. He was scheduled for a bail hearing Wednesday at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.
