Vogue infused the Tribeca Film Festival’s opening night with a heavy dose of glamour on Wednesday.Model Karolína Kurková, fashion mogul Silas Chou and designers Zac Posen, Francisco Costa, Thakoon Panichgul, Vivienne Tam and Donna Karan were among downtown cinéastes and uptown art types to screen “The First Monday in May” — about Anna Wintour’s starry 2015 Met Gala and the landmark Costume Institute show it celebrated, “China: Through the Looking Glass.”
Some attendees wore Chinese-inspired frocks as if it were the gala itself.
Jane Fonda, Chloë Grace Moretz and Princess Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz mixed with Jennifer Westfeldt, Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, Wintour and Vogue’s chic special-projects director Sylvana Ward Durrett, who’s also a producer of the doc and one of its breakout stars along with Met curators Andrew Bolton and Mike Hearn.
Producer Fabiola Beracasa Beckman told us, “Anna granted us incredible access, then helped guide others who may have been a bit hesitant.”
