Baroda vs Bengal:
Things beginning to happen again! Baroda lose three very quickly in the morning session including the important wicket of opener Kedar Devdhar, who was looking assured out in the middle. Dinda picked up two wickets. The lead is now 96, how much more can Baroda add?

Kerala vs Andhra:
Resuming at 188 for 8, Kerala added 31 runs in the morning to fold for 219 against Andhra. Vijay Kumar ends with a six-wicket haul for Andhra. The group leaders will be confident to go past Kerala’s score today.

Build up:
It was an eventful first day in the seventh round of the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy yesterday. 23 wickets fell in Lahli in an engrossing contest with Baroda finishing with a lead of 84. How much can they add today? Judging by what happened yesterday, will the game get over today? That would be something else. The evergreen Subramaniam Badrinath finally delivered for his new team Hyderabad with a century to go past 10,000 first-class runs. What a monumental achievement that is!

Elsewhere in Wayanad, all eyes will be on two men who are probably fighting for one berth in the Indian Test squad. Shikhar Dhawan and Gautam Gambhir will be looking to score some vital runs against Team Rajasthan. Gujarat made a fine start against Mumbai but it will be interesting to see if they can sustain it. And how about Punjab? They need some vital runs from their lower order today in order to give their bowlers a decent first innings total to defend against Tamil Nadu.

Karnataka, who made a great start to the season, were all out for just 179 yesterday but they also managed to dismiss two Odisha batsmen before the day’s play. Who will take the first innings lead in that game? Amit Mishra, who was released from the Indian squad to play in this game picked up two wickets against Goa and he will have to step up again to ensure Goa’s lower order do not wag for a long duration.
