Hero says that powering the new Hero Achiever will an all-new 150cc engine. This will hopefully come mated to a five-speed gearbox. The existing Achiever draws its power from a 149.2cc, air-cooled, four-stroke motor that comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The engine produces a maximum power of 13.4 bhp at 8,000 rpm along with a peak torque output of 12.80 Nm. The braking system comprises of a disc brake at the front while the rear has been assisted with a drum brake unit. The 2016 Hero Achiever will hopefully get better brakes for more response and feedback. Additionally, the bike will come with visual changes to make it better and appealing than ever before. The new 2016 Hero Achiever is expected to come loaded with some interesting features. The Achiever was launched a few years back in India but it was not able to meet the expectations of the manufacturer. With the growing competition in the 150cc motorcycle segment, Hero MotoCorp felt the need of reintroducing the Achiever and it seems that the company must have left no stone unturned in the development of the all-new Achiever. Coming to the price, the new Hero Achiever will hopefully demand a slightly more premium than the existing version that currently retails at INR 61,800
