She is in the midst of launching her acting career, following in the footsteps of parents Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis.

In a new interview with V magazine Lily-Rose Depp talks about her latest project Yoga Hoser, and reveals that having the right people around her made her foray into the world of movie-making a smooth one.

The 16-year-old actress credits director Kevin Smith in particular for helping her feel comfortable, as she explained: ‘Kevin really helped me come out of my shell as an actress. Being able to feel free and comfortable in your character’s skin is so important.

‘I’m lucky I had such great people surrounding me to help me do that.’

Lily-Rose worked with the Jay and Silent Bob star on the comedy horror about two teenage yoga enthusiasts who team up with a legendary man-hunter to battle an ancient evil presence that is threatening their major party plans.

Her father Depp, 52, has a starring role in the movie, as does Smith’s daughter Harley Quinn Smith.

‘The most fun part of making the movie was being able to learn and experience everything for the first time with people I love and admire.’ the star said.
