Both the phones will be available through flash sales on Flipkart, registration for the sale will begin on June 20. The Le Max 2 will go on sale on June 28, while the availability of the Le 2 smartphone hasn’t been announced. The company also introduced its LeMall online retail platform for India at the event. The phones will also be available to buy on LeMall website.
The main USP of these new phones is that they chuck the regular analog 3.5 mm audio jack in favour of a USB Type-C audio connector. The Le 2 and Le Max 2 come with LeEco’s proprietary solution called Continual Digital Lossless Audio or CDLA. The technology essentially allows the new phones to support lossless audio playback via compatible headsets. The CDLA headphones have to be purchased separately for Rs 1,990.
The Le 2 and Le Max 2 also ship with an adapter in the box to connect regular headphones.
The Le Max 2 which is successor to the company’s Le Max phone comes with a 5.7-inch QHD screen SuperRetina diaplay and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor under the hood. It comes with 64GB memory with a whopping 6 gigs of RAM.
The Le Max 2 sports a 21-megapxiel camera on the rear with f/2.0 aperture, optical image stabilisation and phase detection autofocus. There’s also an 8-megapixel camera on the front.
The dualSIM phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based EUI 5.5 and supports 4G LTE along with Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensor technology. The phone is backed by a 3,100mAh battery and supports fast charging.
The Le 2 which is successor to the company’s popular budget phone Le 1S has a 5.5-inch FullHD display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. Based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the phone sports a 16-megapxiel camera on the rear with PDAF and dualLED flash along with an 8-megapixel camera on the front. It uses a 3,000mAh battery with support for fast charging.
