Punjab Agro Industries Corporation chairman, Dyal Singh Kolianwali has threatened to file a criminal defamation suit against state Congress president, Captain Amarinder Singh for accusing him of running a recruitment scam. Amarinder had even announced to hold dharna at village Badal on June 18 against him.Kolianwali asked the Amritsar MP to take back allegations with proof within 10 days or face legal action. He said, “Amarinder has levelled baseless allegations against me and has tried to defame his opponents with malicious propaganda.”Koliawali, who is also president of Muktsar (rural) unit of Shiromani Akali Dal, said, “It seems Amarinder has not learnt any lesson from his past mistakes of threatening his opponents. If a common Akali worker can put him on the mat for his threats of dealing the opponents with ‘khoonda’, then he definitely will have to face the same treatment for unnecessarily defaming Akali leaders.”
