The Prime minister earlier received Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena at the Indore Airport and both the leaders left to participate in the concluding session of the three-day event.

The Prime Minister will address the valedictory session. Visiting Sri Lankan President will also address the closing ceremony of the conference.

Representatives of five countries and Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states will also attend todays valedictory session.

World Leaders of various faiths and religions are deliberating on spirituality, science and people’s welfare during the convention. Brainstorming of ideas is taking place with regard to issues like conservation of environment, agriculture, cottage industries, sustainable development and women’s empowerment.

Around 2000 scholars from home and abroad, experts from different fields are putting forth their thoughts, so that a roadmap for the future could be made.

Participating in Vichaar Mahakumbh, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said that five elements of nature are integral to Indian culture and these elements inspire us to preserve nature.

Earlier visiting Srilankan president Maithripala Sirisena met Prime Minister Narendra Modi over a working dinner on Friday in New Delhi.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed all issues of bilateral interest, in particular the problems being faced by Indian fishermen, the status of various economic projects being implemented by India and efforts to further increase trade and investment.

Ministry of External Affairs in a statement said that the visit would contribute to further strengthening the close and cooperative relations between India and Sri Lanka.
