What can you expect from a Kim Kardashian West cover? If her November 2014 Paper magazine cover is any indication, the goal isn’t just an image that
will grace newsstands for a few weeks, then be swept away for next month’s cover star. Nay; a Kim kover is worthy of changing the leading consonant in
the word “cover,” just like Kim Kardashian, Inc. is now capable of putting its stamp and branding on nearly every commodity there is to be sold with an
indelible image. A magazine cover with Kim Kardashian West on it must have the power to break the Internet—or at least get us all talking as soon as it

That’s exactly what the July cover of GQ will do. In the image, Kim stares directly into the camera. Her makeup is sparse; the focus is on her bee-stung lips.
She’s entirely naked, instead clutching a leather jacket to strategically hide key body parts that would make this issue unable to be displayed on
newsstands. She’s also wearing her large engagement ring from husband Kanye West.

The cover line about Kim promises “Kim as You’ve Never Seen Her,” and the teased inset photo spread—GQ promises that more photos will be revealed
throughout the week—is titled “Can You Handle Kim Kardashian West’s Sexy GQ Photoshoot?” The images, which were taken by dynamic photo duo Mert
Alas and Marcus Piggott, all bear captions like “The drop” (a photo of Kim crouched down in a bathing suit), “Shotgun” (Kim wearing a mesh bodysuit in a
car), and “Morning” (Kim naked in bed, a hint of nipple showing over the top of the cover).

We have seen Kim like this before, to be honest. There’s the Paper mag shoot from 2014. There’s also her spread for Lovemagazine’s Issue 13, which
came out in February 2015.

What appears to separate this GQ feature from the rest, however, is the as-yet-to-be-released interview. “America’s muse gave writer Caity Weaver
unprecedented access and a wide-ranging interview about the special way she drives Kanye crazy, being on team #imwithher, what was really in O.J.’s
Louis Vuitton bag (yeah, Kim knows), and making her life her business,” the magazine promises.

“Welcome to the #UnitedStatesofKimerica,” GQ asserts. What a time to be alive, under the Kardashian reign.
