Kabir Khan’s plan to shoot some portions of his next movie ‘Tubelight’ starring Salman Khan in Kashmir got scuppered following ongoing unrest in the valley. For now, the travel plans to the state has been scrapped by the production unit.
According to reports, the production team is flying to Ladakh on July 25 for the first leg of shoot, but will return to Mumbai after that considering recent developments in Kashmir. ‘We have been advised to keep away due to security reasons. So, the schedule has been indefinitely put on hold,” a spokesperson was quoted as saying. The spokesperson also informed that no decision has been taken as yet on shooting at alternate locations.It is learnt that since the movie is set against the backdrop of the 1962 Sino-Indian war, Salman had insisted on zeroing in on Ladakh and Kashmir as the locations for the shoot.
As per reports, Sohail Khan will play Salman’s brother in the film while Deepika Padukone is said to be in consideration for the female lead.
