Girls outperformed boys in the Jammu and Kashmir state board Class-10 exams. The pass percentage of girls was at 62.99 as compared to 61.08 for boys.
The examinations, which were held in March, was taken by 50,615 students. 23,169 girls and 27,446 boys had appeared for the examination.
Girls had outperformed boys in Class-12 exams as well this year.
Shweta Rana, Tanmay Mahajan, Rupambir Singh and Ankush Singh shared the first position with 99.8 per cent marks.
Eleven students shared the second position with 98.6 per cent marks and 25 students shared the third position with 98.4 per cent.
