Reality show judge Jacqueline Fernandez has been admitted to the hospital with high fever. She is co-judging Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9 with Karan Johar and Ganesh Hegde. It airs on Saturdays on weekends. She is currently recovering from illness at home.
A source told Mumbai Mirror that Jackie couldn’t show up for the semi-final episode of the show. “The show’s team was intimated on Tuesday morning that she wouldn’t be able to make it to the set since she was suffering from high fever and had to be hospitalised. We shot the first episode with just Karan Johar and Farah Khan,” the source told the tabloid.
This was not the end of woes for the production house. When they began filming for the semi-finals, Karan got a call that he had to leave the show immediately to make an important announcement about his film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
The absence of two judges left the production team with little option than than rather than changing the schedule. Bollywood superstar and dance icon Hrithik Roshan who was supposed to be the chief guest was also informed about the same. “Hrithik Roshan who was the special guest was informed about the change of schedule. We are now hoping that Jacqueline will be back soon, “the source added.
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9 has only Salman Yusuff Khan and Shantanu Maheshwari left amongst the original contestants. They will be challenged by West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo and child artistes like Siddharth Nigam, Gracy Goswami, Teriya Magar and Spandan Chaturvedi.
