Jayalalithaa leaves for Delhi, to meet PM Modi today


This will be her first visit to Delhi after she won the state Assembly elections and became CM for second consecutive time.Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa left for Delhi on Tuesday morning and is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi later in the day.
This will be Jayalalithaa’s first visit to the national capital after she won the state assembly elections and became Chief Minister for a second consecutive time.It is expected that Jayalalithaa will seek financial assistance for Tamil Nadu as the state is under Rs 2.11 lakh crore debt. She may also ask for release of convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assasination case.Reportedly, BJP is also looking to form an alliance with AIAMDK as it has 50 seats in Parliament – the largest ever number by any regional party so far.
