Johnny Lever is considered as one of the most popular comedian in the Hindi film industry. But a lesser known fact is that behind his success story there is
a period of hardships, failure and misery.
Johnny Lever was born in Andhra Pradesh and hails from a Telugu Christian family. He was raised in Mumbai and had to leave his education after 7th grade
due to financial constraints. But his dedication, talent and hard work gave him a big name in the film industry despite coming from a poor background.
Currently, Johnny along with his wife Sujatha Lever, daughter Jammie Lever and son Jesse Lever is staying in his dream house in Mumbai. Johnny, who
has done more than 500 stage shows and 350 films, lives in a three bedroom-hall-kitchen apartment in Andheri, western Mumbai suburb.
In spite of having few more houses in Mumbai, Johnny is emotionally attached to the house which he has bought in the year 1990.
Talking to Dailybhaskar.com, Jammie Lever said, “This is probably one of the biggest house my father’s family has ever seen. He bought this house in 90’s
with his own money. There are lots of memories attached to this house and he doesn’t want to leave this for any other place. My brother was just born and
we moved here. Before this house, we never lived in a building. We were a big family and everybody used to stay here. Now, everyone has moved on to
their respective houses, but for my father, this house will always remain special for him.”
Jammie recently gave us the grand tour of her lavish Mumbai apartment.
