Vidya Balan opens up on why she will never work with husband Siddharth Roy KapurLike her career, Vidya Balan’s personal life has too been a topic of discussion. After the failure of films like Ghanchakkar, Shaadi Ke Side Effects and Bobby Jasoos, many said that she would bid adieu to films. However, the actress said she would love to act throughout her life. However, there is one thing she is extremely clear about. That she will never work with husband Siddharth Roy Kapur. We know that her husband is one of the men who acted as a catalyst in promoting content-driven films in recent times. He has resigned as the CEO of Disney India and is now starting his own venture. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Vidya Balan refused to discuss Siddharth’s business plans but clarified she would not work with him. It is a choice they made during the filming of Ghanchakkar. The lady did not interact at all with the MD whom she was dating at that point. The lady told the tabloid, “I wanted to safeguard our relationship, I didn’t want any clashes. Ghanchakkar was my first release after marriage and I felt guilty, personalising its failure. Siddharth, more objective, told me it was ridiculous to feel that way. I know that now, but I don’t want to put myself in a similar situation again. However, she said that Siddharth is indeed the perfect man for her. The Kahaani actress cannot imagine being married to someone else. The lady also opened up about how women take a backseat about themselves once they are hitched. “I caught myself doing that too, only for Siddharth to ask me if this was really what I wanted,” she told the paper. Vidya said the process of making adjustments tends to dent a woman’s original personality. “But my husband lets me be me. More than anything else, marriage has taught me to value myself. It’s all about do jisms and do jaans being together,“ she stated. The actress will be seen soon in Sujoy Ghosh’s Kahaani 2 – Durga Rani Singh. Vidya revealed that the bad weather conditions made it quite tough to shoot the film on many occasions. The monsoons have come early so everyone had to work in limited time span. “When it rained, it poured, so we’d wake up at 4 am and turn up on the set, ready and rehearsed, by the time day broke, trying to make the most of the sun. It was tough, with temperatures hovering around 45-46 degrees Celsius. We were drained, some fainted, tempers flared… We tried not to get personal, and those who did would on any set, irrespective of the conditions…haha,” the lady was quoted as saying.
