Dehradun, the capital city of Uttarakhand also received heavy rainfall on Monday morning. The state has been receiving rains in the past few days.
Similarly, the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh may see heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours, a weather official said on Sunday.
“There are chances of heavy rainfall in some parts of the state between June 20 and 21,” an official of the local meteorological office told reporters.He said most of the prominent tourist towns like Shimla, Narkanda, Kufri, Kalpa, Kasauli, Chamba, Dharamsala, Palampur and Manali might saw good spells of rain.
On the other hand, in Chandigarh the meteorological office said on Monday that heavy rainfall may also hamper the main event of International Yoga Day to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Yoda has been scheduled on Tuesday.
