Scarlett Mellish Wilson is a British model and dancer, who works in Indian cinema.
Wilson was born and brought up in UK. She studied performing arts at the Tiffany Theatre College in London. She got trained in ballet and jazz. She said that she has been dancing since the age of one.
She came to India in 2009 to work in Bollywood and began modeling. She also assisted on choreography for the TV show Chak Dhoom Dhoom and worked across many cities in various projects including television and commercial ads with actors like Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan.
She had worked with numerous choreographers including Bosco-Caesar who recommended her to director Dibakar Banerjee. She appeared in the item number “Imported Kamariya” in his political thriller film Shanghai in which she also had a small role. She said that her role in Shanghai was inspired by Katrina Kaif. After Shanghai she appeared in many item numbers in Bollywood films like Bajatey Raho and R… Rajkumar and in the various South Indian film industries. She danced in Telugu films Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu, Chandee and Yevadu and in Kannada films Mahanadhi and Prem Adda. She will be seen in Vijay’s Tamil film Jilla too. She also performed in the Punjabi music video Feem (Cut Like A Diamond) by Jazzy B. She won her first lead role in an upcoming film written & directed by Ahsan Hyder in which she is paired opposite Rajeev Khandelwal. Scarlett featured in an item song Manohari in 2015 Indian bilingual film Baahubali: The Beginning, directed by S. S. Rajamouli.
