According to police, Huan came to India around two years ago and began running the hotel, Corporate Regency, in DLF Phase 3, with two partners, Ramesh Choudhary and Mohammad Raheesh Khan. They took the property, owned by Parul Lohia, a resident of Nathupur village, on lease.
In her complaint, Huan said Lohia had been harassing her and her partners to vacate the property even though they had an agreement. She alleged that on Wednesday morning, Lohia, along with other men, confronted her and her brother in a room at the hotel and beat them up.
Lohia, however, claimed he had paid Huan and her partners Rs 21 lakh to vacate the property, according to the police. Lohia said he had papers with their signatures on it to prove his claim, police added.
“A case has been registered in the matter at DLF Phase 2 police station under sections 323 (causing voluntary hurt), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), and 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) of the Indian Penal Code,” said ACP Hawa Singh, PRO of Gurgaon police.
“Further investigations are being conducted into the case,” Singh added.
