‘Apsaras’ or celestial nymphs are an important part of Hindu mythology. These beautiful women were either heavenly dancers or acting as the ultimate distraction to over-ambitious sages. Mostly, Hindu gods would send them on earth to break kings’ egos and sages’ meditation, but there were times, when smitten by their beauty, many sages and even gods fell in love with them.
This is the story of such ‘Apsaras’, whose gorgeousness cast a spell on great souls of Indian mythology.
