Google Search will let now Indian users order food, book tables


Search giantGoogle is making it easier for the users to order food and book a table at their favourite restaurant. The company will now allow users who are looking for a restaurant nearby to book a table or order food right from the ‘search’ itself.The company has tied up withZomato for food delivery and table reservations, Swiggy for food delivery and Dineout and Bytplus for food delivery.The users when search for a restaurant on their smartphones will see the options ‘Place an order’ and ‘Find a table’ in the search results. Once a user taps on his preferred option, he will be redirected to the mobile websites of these companies to complete the order.On its official blog, Google said, “From today, when people search for a nearby restaurant on their phone, they’ll see an option to ‘Place an order’ in the search results.”The service is available on both iOS and Android platforms.Recently, Google started working with Dashlane and other password manager firms on an open API named ‘Open YOLO’. Short for You Only Login Once, the Open YOLO project is aimed at making it simpler for users to manage passwords with Android apps.With Open YOLO, users will just have to link their favourite password manager to their Android device. From thereon, the apps will automatically take the required passwords.
