As per reports, the police raided a building in Ribandar located between Panaji and Old Goa on 7 June following a decoy setup and arrested five persons, including mastermind Anand Kumar.Superintendent of Police Kartik Kashyap, speaking to media, said the racket has been operating in the state over the last four years and actors, models, TV stars and upcoming models were being supplied to famous hotels across the state.
During the raid, a list consisting names of clients whom Kumar had supplied models was seized.
According to some reports, a model or actor charged between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 20 lakh per customer.
Sources said the list contains names of politicians and corporates personalities.
The police are probing on the basis of this list. The police also recovered a balance-sheet like a ledger where details of the racket such as flight cost, payment received, detailed expense, hospitality services were entered. “On his mobile phone, we found the names of several famed upcoming Bollywood actresses, along with ‘VIP’ customers,” said KashyapAnand, who has been running the racket for more than four years, has surfaced several times under the police scanner but managed to evade arrest so far.He has at least five cases lodged against him in Maharashtra, we are digging up more information on him,” said Kashyap.
