Former Indian cricketer who wants to be Pakistan team’s next coach

Failing to prove Pakistan‘s stance in Asia Cup T20 2016 and World T20 2016, Waqar Younis has stepped down as coach of Pakistan team recently and so has Shahid Afridi resigned as captain of the team. The team has roped in Sarfaraz Ahmed as the next captain of Pakistan while Pakistan Cricket Board are on a lookout of new coach. On Tuesday, PCB had posted a tweet on hunt of new coach for Pakistan and in response to the tweet former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli replied to Pakistani journalists Asma Shirazi mentioning, “HI Asma Waqar Younis stepping down as head coach a big blow. Knowing Waqar he is fantastic cricketer n good learner of the game.” He further added to the thread of conversation saying, “SalamAlekhum Asma ji.I heard PCB is looking for a Head coach .I am” Available.”
Surely the role of Pakistan coach is a tough job for any other country person as security could be matter of concern. Well regarding the security reasons, one did tweet about the same and mentioned “For team doesn’t come to pay in Pakistan. How will you manage to come and live in a ‘dangerous’ country???” to which Kambli gave out a witty reply and said, “Bhaijaan Salam. Mein berojghaar nahin hoon.Agar wasim Akram IPL mein coach ban sakte hai toh mein Q nahin#PCB.”
Well Kambli has not had any past stints with coaching and this will definitely be a new role for him. It will be interesting to see how PCB and Pakistan team respond Kambli’s interest further.
Pakistan will play their next match against England from July including 4 tests match, 5 ODIs and one T20I.
