Force 2 continued its winning streak at the box office on its second day with higher numbers than the other release, Tum Bin 2. With an opening day collection of Rs 6.05 crore, the John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha-starrer made around Rs 7.5 crore on its second day, according to early estimates.
The action-thriller seems to have defeated demonetisation, which severely impacted the business of last week's release, Rock On 2. Made at a budget of Rs 45 crore, the film is expected to break even in a week, if it continues raking in similar amounts at the box office.
The film's lead cast, John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha are both in need of a hit, after their last Bollywood outings, Rocky Handsome and Akira, respectively, didn't do so well at the box office. Force 2's patriotic angle seems to have connected with the audience this time. Directed by Abhinay Deo, the film stars John Abraham as ACP Yashvardhan and Sonakshi Sinha as a RAW agent, with Tahir Raj Bhasin as the antagonist.
