A fire that ripped through an abandoned house at Glenroy in Melbourne’s north is being treated as suspicious. The blaze at the home on Trevannion Street broke out just before 2:30pm, the Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) said.

It said the fire “took hold very quickly” and extra resources were despatched immediately. It took dozens of firefighters about 30 minutes to bring it under control. Police will now take over the investigation, the MFB said
