Section 328 of IPC reads, “Causing hurt by means of poison, etc., with intent to commit an offence – whoever administers to any person any poison or any stupefying, intoxicating or unwholesome drug, or other thing with intent to cause hurt to such person, or with intent to commit or to facilitate the commission of an offence or knowing it to be likely that he will thereby cause hurt, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine”.No arrests were, however, made till the filing of this report. Police sources disclosed that Narsingh, in his complaint, had quoted an incident of alleged mixing of something suspicious in his food about one and a half month ago. “Narsingh’s complaint forms basis of the FIR. We are investigating the instances quoted by him in his complaint. The role of certain influential people about whom he has raised suspicion shall also be verified. We shall be questioning Narsingh also in detail and then further investigate the case accordingly,” another senior Haryana police officer added.
