Jalalabad, which elected SAD chief Sukhbir Badal twice to the Assembly, is emerging as a new protesting ground. Lambi used to be their first choice in the past. During SAD chief Sukhbir Badal’s two-day Jalalabad visit, nine unemployed PTI teachers continued their dharna atop a water tank. Anganwari workers, helpers and unemployed ETT teachers too held a protest and tried to disrupt traffic as they were not permitted yesterday to march to the venue where the Deputy CM was holding a function.The district police today confirmed that 15 identified and an equal number of unidentified unemployed ETT teachers, including district president Ashok Kumar, had been booked under Section 353 and 186 of the IPC as they allegedly grappled with policemen and tried to obstruct official working.A similar case has been registered against Saroj Rani, president, Punjab Anganwari Workers and Helpers Union, 10 other women of the union have also been booked.
