The two-day event, to be conducted at the Convention Centre, Chennai Trade Centre, on April 9 and 10 (from 9.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., on both days) will have Satish Jeyaraman, vice-president, Human Resources, Cognizant, delivering the keynote address and G. Viswanathan, founder and chancellor, VIT University, the inaugural address.
On Saturday, the programme will feature talks by Hema Raman on law; R. Ramanujam on mathematics; Xavier Benedict on architecture; Yashaswini Rajeshwar on humanities; Megha Gupta on liberal arts; J. Prasanna on IT/cybersecurity and Bindu Bhaskar on journalism.
Students can also attend a panel discussion on new age-careers by Ricky Kej, Niranjan Iyengar and Mala Martin.
Sunday’s programme will include talks by P. Gautam on careers and enterprises in biotechnology; Ramesh Prabha on engineering; S. Acharya on banking and finance; Anand A. Samuel, VC, VIT University, on preparing for the 2020 workplace; Kaustav Sengupta on fashion and design; Vaidya Subramaniam on entrepreneurship; J.S. Rajkumar on medicine and Sundar on rehabilitation of professionals.
Students can also take a free psychometric test that will be conducted by Bodhi Organisational and People Development Consultants.
A free shuttle bus service to the venue has been arranged from Koyambedu and Guindy bus stands for participants. The services will be operated from Koyambedu every hour while from Guindy, it will be every 30 minutes, starting from 9 a.m. and 9.15 a.m., respectively.
