Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Dwight Ball is in Boston, Mass., Monday, meeting with other provincial and U.S. state leaders to discuss issues of common interest.

The premiers and governors are there for the 40th Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers.

The annual meeting lets governors and premiers discuss issues of common interest, with energy, the environment, and climate change expected to be some of the major topics this year.

CBC has confirmed that Nalcor CEO Stan Marshall will be joining Premier Ball for the conference, though no information has been provided about whether any talks surrounding Muskrat Falls will be on the agenda.

Governors from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont will all be present, as well as Canadian premiers from Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, and Quebec.
