Virat Kohli’s admiration towards Rahul Dravid has been met with a humbling response by the former Indian cricketer. Dravid, in reply to Kohli’s photo collage of two images with him – one where a young Kohli is admirably staring at him and the other where he’s being interviewed by the former cricketer – had some humbling things to say about India’s Test skipper.Kohli’s caption of the collage on Facebook read: “Moments like these make you feel grateful for where you are. Once I was trying to make eye contact with this legend and then I was interviewed by him while playing test cricket for India. I guess dreams do come true.” Dravid responded with the same collage, only the text altered: “Were you trying to only make eye contact or telling yourself, ‘Buddy, I will do everything you did, but do it even better!.”To be precise, the image where Kohli is being interviewed by Dravid was from Kohli’s maiden Test as Indian captain. In Adelaide, he scored a wonderful 147 that almost saw Indian through to a win before a batting collapse prevented it from happening. Kohli, on being asked how it felt to be leading India, had said: “Well if I have to honest I haven’t slept throughout the five days, to which Dravid replied by saying: “Welcome to captaincy.”Dravid’s Facebook message further stated: “You have been remarkable Virat Kohli, keep going!! – RD (Rahul Dravid)”Throughout his career and post retirement, Dravid continues to be known as one of the most humble cricketers around. His adulation of the Indian Test skipper has garnered him a lot of praise on social media.
