Sikh preacher Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale today said he was not satisfied with the police investigation as the government was protecting the main conspirator. He condemned the episode wherein the accused were projected as “heroes”. “It is sad that flowers are being showered on killers,” he said.Dhadrianwale said: “The key conspirator behind the attack should be exposed. Everyone in Punjab knows who is behind the attack, but the police are not acting against him as the government is sheltering him.”Talking to The Tribune, Dhadrianwale said: “The war of words was started by Harnam Singh Dhumma (Damdami Taksal chief). He released an audio clip in which he accused me of being a traitor and anti-Panthic. No one from my group attacked him physically. I answered to his allegations in a video. I never spoke against Dasam Granth, Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale or the Damdami Taksal. I only exposed Dhumma, who is a land-grabber. He grabbed the land of an ashram in Anandpur Sahib”.He refuted the allegation that he himself orchestrated the attack. “I give an open invitation to all investigation agencies to prove these allegations,” he said.“They (taksal activists) are openly threatening us, but we will not enter into a war against our Sikh brothers. I have told all my supporters not to indulge in anything that will disturb peace in the state,” the Sikh preacher said.Dhumma could not be contacted despite repeated attempts. The police are yet to come out with anything substantial even five days after the incident.Jatinder Singh Aulakh, Commissioner of Police, said: “We are investigating the matter.” The police reportedly identified 10 more persons involved in the attack and were raiding various locations.
