Her daughter, Lisa Freihaut, was arrested Friday as the result of an investigation by members of the Lethbridge criminal investigation section. Back in January, police had said family members went to check on the senior when they couldn’t reach her.
On April 7, Freihaut tearfully told reporters in Calgary that she was sad, angry and frustrated over the “senseless” death of her mother.
She said she would miss being able to send a Mother’s Day card and flowers this year. On Friday, police said Freihaut has been remanded in custody in Calgary, where she lives.\ Police allege Carter was attacked in a dispute over finances.
