South African fast bowler Dale Steyn is known for his lethal bowling attack, as also for his off-the-field quirks too.

Though he has been out of form, and sometimes even out of the playing 11 due to his injuries, the ‘Steyn Gun’ definitely is not out of his jolly mood.
While in Mumbai for Saturday’s IPL match against Mumbai Indians, the Gujarat Lions-pacer took to a local ground and played some “street cricket” with the Mumbai kids.
He posted a video on Instagram of him taking a wicket during the “gully cricket”, as it is known in India, with a cheeky caption: “Little bit of street cricket in Mumbai, my 1st wicket of the Ipl”.
Last July, when the Proteas had toured Bangladesh, Steyn had tweeted his wish to play in the rains with Bangladeshi locals in Chittagong, after the day’s play of the Test with Bangladesh had washed out.
And eventually, he let himself out of the hotel room and went to play on the wet field, and a video later made rounds of social media.
One of the most dreaded pacers of world cricket, Steyn has been running out of form for a while and has been sitting in the Gujarat Lions’ dugout during all three matches his team has played and won in the season 9 so far.
