Police are asking the public to help find a six-month-old boy who was reported missing in Alice Springs on September 11. Detective Senior Sergeant Allan Milner said Northern Territory police believed the baby might be in the care of two teenagers.

The child was last seen in the care of his 16-year-old relative Gilbert Thompson and his partner Rachael Newberry, also 16, on Thursday September 8.

“Police are very concerned for the boy’s welfare and are very keen to speak to the two youths, who were last sighted in Alice Springs in a maroon coloured vehicle,” Detective Senior Sergeant Milner said.

“If anyone knows the whereabouts of the youths or the boy, or has any other information which might assist, please call police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” police said.
