Ottawa Police confirm they are investigating the city’s seventh homicide of 2016 after a man’s body was found in the Carlington area Monday afternoon Police say they received a call around 3:40 p.m. Monday. A man’s body was found in an apartment building at 1400 Lepage Avenue off of Merivale. The building is an Ottawa Community Housing complex called Lepage Manor. Ottawa Community Housing says it is increasing security patrols in the Lepage area over the next week.
Ottawa Police are unable to confirm any details about the victim’s identity, or the cause of death.
An autopsy is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.
There are no suspects at this time.
At seven homicides, Ottawa has matched the total number of homicides seen in 2015.
