A teenager has been charged after allegedly assaulting a police officer at a north Queensland party which had 100 revellers.
Police were called to the Townsville property to investigate a noise complaint, and returned a short time later when things still had not died down about 2:00am.
On arrival the second time, a group of people of were fighting amid the crowd of 100.
When police tried to arrest a man, bottles were thrown in their general direction and towards their cars.
An extra 33 officers were called to the scene after threats continued by the partygoers.
A 29-year-old male constable sustained a serious wrist injury in the incident and was taken to Townsville Hospital for treatment.
A police vehicle also received minor damage.
An 18-year-old man has been charged with one count each of assaulting police and public nuisance.
A 33-year-old Vincent woman and 22-year-old Stuart man are assisting police with their inquiries.
