“The PM is the victim of his own web of chicanery. For 10 long years, Narendra Modi kept playing politics with national security. He tried to consistently portray and project as if he was the only He-Man around and everybody else was less of a man. Despite being fully cognisant of the strategic situation of South Asia he left no stone unturned to hurl boulders at his political opponents using the subterfuge of national security,” Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari said. “And today when the time has come that the nation needs to repay the sacrifice of the soldiers of Uri, all that you hear from the PM are platitudes. He has suddenly started lecturing the people of Pakistan about developmental imperatives.”
Tewari said the PM was trying to change the goalpost by talking about competing on malnutrition, poverty and unemployment.
