“I have given enough funds to all villages,” he claimed at a sangat darshan programme in Lambi. “A few days ago I was in Ropar where villagers themselves said that they were keen to give certificates declaring that all development works of their villages have been completed by SAD-BJP government.”The Punjab CM has visited many villages in the constituency, sometimes multiple times. Officials in the government said that in total, the CM had granted around Rs 2.5 crore to each village over the last five years.
Major Singh, sarpanch of Raniwala village in Lambi constituency said, “As of now, around 65 per cent of the is are complete and we expect the rest to be completed in another few months. So if the CM himself is seeking a certificate, we have no issue.”
