Accusing the Congress of adopting an anti-Punjab stance, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said the party pursued divisive politics for its vested interests.
Addressing gatherings at Ahlupur, Sardulewal, Fatta Maleka, Kusla and other villages during Sangat Darshan programmes, the Chief Minister said the Congress had ruined the state.
“The Congress has meddled in the social, political, economic and even religious affairs of the state. It has always pursued the policy of ‘divide and rule’ to capture power in the state.”
Terming AAP a “bunch of unprincipled leaders”, Badal said these leaders were following in the footsteps of the Congress to deprive the state of its legitimate share in river waters.
On the recent clash between Congress and Akali workers in Ludhiana, he said the DGP was probing the matter.
