Child sex offences: Perth chef facing more charges

Fresh charges have been laid against a 65-year-old Perth chef alleged to have abused more than 11 children over a 45-year period.

A 65-year-old man from Lesmurdie was charged in January over the alleged assault of four victims.

He is appearing in the Midland Magistrates Court today on a further 10 offences against another seven alleged victims between 1968 and 2013, including unlawful and indecent assault, indecent dealing with a child, and carnal knowledge against the order of nature.

Police said the alleged victims were known to the man, some through family relationships and some through his employment as a chef at restaurants in Mandurah, Belmont, East Perth, Kalamunda and Northbridge. The man was involved in at least eight restaurants over that period.
