Ajay Devgn has a lot to smile about. The actor’s Diwali release ‘Shivaay’, which was screened for the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on October 13, has been granted a ‘U’ certificate. According to reports, the Censor Board has demanded only one cut in the film. This comes in sharp contrast to Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, which received five cuts including a kiss and some intimate scenes between Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
As for ‘Shivaay’, the kiss and lovemaking scene between Ajay and Erika Kaar has been trimmed. The Board did not mind giving it a ‘U’ certificate as even the action in the film isn’t gory and the movie, on the whole, is suitable for family audience. Ajay is expected to get the certificate today. On an aside, the running time of ‘Shivaay’ is 175 minutes (2 hours 55 minutes) whereas that of ‘ADHM’ is 158 mintes (2 hours 38 minutes).
