The Fazilka police claimed to have nabbed two motorcycle thieves and three members of snatchers’ gang in Fazilka district.They have also recovered 16 motorcycles, one country-made pistol, two live cartridges and a sharp-edged weapon from their possession.Fazilka Senior Superintendent of Police Narinder Bhargav said on a tip-off the police laid a barrier near Trobari village and intercepted a motorcycle without a registration number. The police nabbed Rajinder Singh, alias Babbu, of Gulam Rasool village and pillion rider Sandeep Kumar of Mahalam village on Saturday.The SSP said after the interrogation the police recovered seven motorcycles from the house of Sandeep Singh and eight from Rajinder Singh’s house. “The bikes were stolen from the different areas of the district with the use of master key,” claimed the SSP.Bhargav said Rajinder Singh had already been booked in several theft cases in Fazilka, Jalalabad and Abohar police stations.The SSP said similarly the police arrested three members of a five-member gang of snatchers and recovered one country-made pistol, two live cartridges and a kirpan from their possession. The arrested have been identified as Gurbhej Singh, Maan Singh and Jagvir Singh.
