BFC, Decoded Fashion Announce Fashion Futures Short List


A bevy of brands and companies have been short-listed for the Fashion Futures awards hosted by the British Fashion Council and Decoded Fashion. The event series, which highlights the innovators in the fashion and tech fields, will take place on May 18 at LSO St. Lukes in London.

Ten awards will be presented that evening including the Visionary award, which will honor a trailblazer that has revolutionized fashion and retail.

This year’s contenders for “a killer experience” are Burberry, Asos, Farfetch, Sephora and Topshop.

Asos, Mallzee, Shopstyle, The Net Set powered by Net-a-porter and Parcel for Me will compete for the “master of mobile award.”

For the digital coalition award, nominees include Christopher Raeburn and Unmade, JW Anderson and Grindr, Monsoon and OfferMoments, River Island and Shutl and Ted Baker and Wirewax.

Bytes & bricks nominees include Nike, Sephora, Hunter and Rigby & Peller while Topshop , Topman, Thread and Shop Direct will compete for the real-time innovator award.

BFC/British Vogue Fashion fund winner Sophia Webster is in the running for new e-store on the block.

The brands and designers have been selected by the judging panel, which includes Caroline Rush, chief executive officer of the BFC; Dylan Jones, editor of British GQ; Martijn Bertisen, director of Retail for Google; Dolly Jones, digital strategy director at Condé Nast Digital Britain, and José Neves, ceo and founder of Farfetch.
